Choose Trainda if
- You want client payments in a Stripe account you own, with no share of them to Trainda.
- Nutrition is part of your coaching: recipes and portions that scale to each client's targets, alternative recipes per meal, a shopping list, a food diary by barcode scan, and AI that drafts any recipe you describe or paste as text, with macros from the ingredient database.
- You run group coaching or courses next to 1:1 coaching, with a community for each group and tracks that let one group follow different programs.
Choose Step2Fit if
- You run a gym or a functional training box and want WOD programming and booking in the same calendar.
- You want to follow clients' sleep quality and heart rate variability next to their training results.
- Your clients use the app in Norwegian, Danish, Spanish, Polish or Czech.
Worth checking before you choose
- How long the first subscription binds you, and whether the online store is in the plan price or a separate add-on: the plan cards list it, the order page's intro calls store features optional.
- How client payments reach you and what they cost.
- How nutrition works day to day: meal plans with each client's macro targets, a food diary, and whether you see every logged meal against the targets.
- What happens when you take on more clients than your plan includes: are you blocked, moved to a bigger plan, or billed per extra client? And who counts as an active client? In Trainda, a paid plan never blocks a new client: each extra client is billed monthly, €10 on Pro10, €8 on Pro30 and €6 on Growth, and counts once however many coachings they are in.
- What help you get moving your clients, programs, recipes and exercises over from your current app.
Nutrition in Trainda
You set each client's calories, macro split and meal timing, and you can change them from one nutrition block to the next. A check-in can calculate the client's energy need with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and set the calorie target, with your adjustment and a minimum, and a helper sets protein and fat in proportion to body weight. Recipes and portions scale to those targets on their own, and the meal plan builder suggests recipes that fit the meal's macros.
Saw a recipe trending on TikTok? Describe it or paste the recipe text, and Trainda's AI drafts it for your library: ingredients, method and servings, with macros calculated from the ingredient database. Check it, save it, and it scales to every client's targets. You start with around 100 ready-made recipes, and your library grows with the dishes your clients actually ask for.
Clients log meals in the app by scanning a barcode or typing in calories and macros. A recipe from their meal plan logs with its macros filled in, scaled to the servings eaten. You see every logged meal and each day's calories and macros against the client's targets.
Recipes and meal plans go into any 1:1 coaching, group coaching or course you sell.
Group coaching, courses and teams
Trainda runs group coaching and courses in the same account as your 1:1 coaching. Each group coaching can have its own community with topic areas and threads, and tracks let one group follow different programs: a questionnaire you build can pick each client's track. Courses start when the client buys them and run at the client's own pace. Extra coaches on your account are free.
